Lennon's day ビートルズの中心メンバーだったジョン・レノン（John Winston Ono Lennon, MBE）がニューヨークのセントラル・パーク72番通りにある自宅アパート、ダコタ・ハウス前で熱狂的なファン、マーク・チャプマン（Mark David Chapman）にピストルで撃たれ死亡した昭和55年（1980）の忌日。
ちなみにMBE（Member of the Order of the British Empire）は、大英帝国勲章（Order of the British Empire）のランクのひとつ。
